Education.com Acquires the KidsKnowIt Network

Two educational leaders join forces to champion children's learning

SAN MATEO, Calif. – October 1, 2018

Education.com, the leading online education destination for teachers, parents, and homeschoolers looking to help their children succeed in school, announced its acquisition of the KidsKnowIt Network (KKI), a platform for learning resources including educational websites, activities, and more.

Founded in 1998 by Utah elementary school teacher Hiram Bertoch, KKI has grown from serving one classroom to attracting 6 million visitors a year worldwide. With thousands of fun, free, high-quality educational tools from websites and worksheets to videos and games, KKI’s interactive learning experiences have been engaging and inspiring kids for over 20 years.

The acquisition allows Education.com to take KKI's estimable legacy and build on it, leveraging the company's deep experience and excellent resources to fulfill a common goal of empowering educators and championing children’s education.

KKI’s 6 million teachers, parents, and homeschoolers will benefit from joining Education.com’s community of more than 70 million, gaining access to the platform’s vast and varied learning library, teaching resources, and much more.

“From a shared mission to nurture each child’s passion, curiosity, optimism, and educational success to a shared audience of dedicated parents, teachers, and homeschoolers, KKI just felt like the perfect fit for our business,” says Education.com Co-CEO Todd Schwartz. “This acquisition gives us exciting opportunities to grow, expanding the breadth of learning materials we offer and supporting even more educators and families.”
